We got the call today that the agency has gone with another family for the boy and girl we interviewed for. We're definitely sad as we had begun picturing these children as part of our lives. However, we trust that those that know these children best know what family situation will best meet their needs.
We've "thrown our hat in the ring" to be considered for three other sibling groups, so this could be just the beginning of many roller coaster rides. Thanks for all your prayers! They've definitely been felt!

ReplyDeleteOh my sweet friend, I know the sting of that call and there is nothing that makes it feel all better except to fully pour your heart out to God knowing that He is preparing just the right sibling group for your family. He knows what each grouping needs and where they will soar. He also knows what your 8 beautiful children need and will protect them from anything that they can not handle. I believe that fully, Lain. I love you guys and I adore what you are doing. Keep your hearts open and know that God will bring those kids you are desiring. And when He does, oh the joy! Words can not express that feeling of failing in love with a child you have never met/carried. It is a gift only God can give. Cling to truth and know I am here if you need to vent/pray/cry/scream/meet for tea! ;)
