Snow on November 5!

As we were awaiting our Friday Night Bible Study buddies to arrive, it started snowing. Snow had been predicted, but no believed it. The weather men always predict snow for weeks before it really happens.

Friday it began to flurry, then sleet, then really snow for a bit! We couldn't believe it when early November started looking like a winter wonderland. The dusting even hung around until Saturday morning.

Has anyone read their Almanac? Are we in for a doozy?

  1. Oh am I jealous!!! We're supposed to get snow here, but only at 2500 ft...I'm quite a few hundred feet below that, so we may be taking a drive up into the hills tomorrow! I miss seeing all of the kids' boots, gloves and snow "stuff" laying in front of the woodstove! Of course, I'll need to be reminded of that by March!

  2. That is so wierd. We only had some flurries that you could barely see. I'll never forget one our first winters in Indy and it snowed on Halloween. Coming from southern IN and 4 years in Nashville, TN, that was quite a shock!

  3. We were supposed to go to the mountains this weekend but the roads were closed due to a lot of snow. It flurried a little bit on Saturday but nothing too big. I think we might be in for a cold/snowey winter... Going to try to keep our pantry stocked just in case. :)
